Minnie May Lee, 85, of Union Bridge, died Friday, May 31, 2013, at her daughter's home in Hagerstown.

Born Oct. 11, 1927, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Tilden Fletcher Barnes Sr. and Nita Jane Eckenrode Barnes. She was the wife of William "Bill" Jesse Lee, who died in 2008.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Mount Airy. She worked as a home health aide in private duty nursing. She enjoyed reading.

Surviving are children Marie Butler and husband Jay, of Provo, Utah, Judy May Rice, of New London, Ohio, William J. Lee Jr. and wife Teresa, of Silver Spring, Sally Jean Lee Jones and husband David of Nephi, Utah, and Shirley Lee, of Hagerstown; brothers Tilden F. Barnes Jr. and wife Gertrude, of Mount Airy, and Kenneth L. Barnes and wife Christine, of Baltimore; 19 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Hartzler Funeral Home, 11802 Liberty Road, Libertytown.

A private graveside service will be held at Winters Cemetery in New Windsor with Bishop Matthew Wilhelm officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Frederick County Humane Society, 217 W. Patrick St., Frederick, MD 21701.
