Helen Yvonne (nee Thompson) Watkins, age 76, went home to be with her husband, Don, on Saturday, June 1, 2013. She was born on August 2, 1936, in Allegheny County, Pa. She was a dedicated military wife and traveled the world with her husband and children. Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Don, of 54 years; her 2 brothers, Harry and Dave; and her 3 sisters, Dean, Lorraine, and Leah. She is survived by her brother Bill; her sister Marion; three children, Keith (Lynn), Marion (Don) Kennelly, and D.R. (Christine); 6 grandchildren, Trichelle, Stephanie, Crystal, Ryan, Jack and Carly; and 6 great grandchildren, Kros, Anthony, Christian, Melanie, Kors, and Chloe. She will be remembered for Sunday family dinners, and the grandchildren and great grandchildren will miss visiting "Grammy" and filling their pockets with candy. Graveside services will take place on Wednesday, June 5th, at 1:00 p.m. at Cochran Cemetery, in Dawson, Pa. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain is handling arrangements.
