Civil War veteran. 2nd Lieut., Co. I, 55th Pa. Vol. Infantry. William C. Williams died February 2, 1864, in East Freedom, Blair County, Pennsylvania, of an illness contracted while serving with the U.S. Army in South Carolina during the Civil War.
