MRS. LENA A. WHITNEY

Mrs. Lena A. Whitney, 77, died Saturday, Sept. 19 at Tioga General Hospital, Waverly.
Mrs. Whitney was born July 27, 1882, and was a life-long resident of Candor. She was a member of South Candor Home Demonstration Unit.
She is survived by her husband, John Whitney; a son, Harland Whitney of Candor; a daughter, Mrs. Marshall Hover of Candor; a sister, Mrs. Noble Clark of Ithaca; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at the Miller Funeral Home on Tuesday afternoon, with the Rev. M. Erford Freelove officiating. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Candor.
