Obituary: Died on Friday, Nov 17th, 1899 at the family residence, Howes Street this city, of consumption aged 53 years. The deceased was born in Morrow county, Ohio, November 22, 1846. While still quite young his parents moved to Iowa, where he lived until his health began to break down, about three years ago, when he came with his family to Fort Collins, and had since resided here. He was an excellent citizen, a devoted husband and father and was greatly esteemed by all who knew him. He was a member of the Methodist church, and had been, honored at different times by holding official positions in that church in his eastern home. Of immediate surviving relatives Mr. Hann leaves a wife and five children, Mrs. Minnie Maxwell and Frank Hann of Shelby county, Iowa, and Vernon, Jennie and Fred Hann of this city. His aged father lives at Marengo, Iowa. Two brothers and two sisters, Byron Hann of Nebraska, Charles Hann and Mrs. Fred Goad of Marengo, Iowa, and Mrs. Kortz of this city, also survive him.
The funeral was held last Sunday afternoon at the late residence of the deceased and was attended by a large number of people and sympathizing friends, Rev. Geo P Avery officiating. The body was interred in Grandview Cemetery. The Weekly Courier, Nov 23, 1899.
