Obituary in the "Indiana Weekly Messenger" (Indiana, PA), Thursday, 17 March 1927, page 1, column 2:
"Mrs. George Adams
"Mrs. Zibiah Stear Adams, aged 73 years, wife of George Adams, died on Thursday at her home on West School street, from a complication of diseases. The deceased, who was born July 20, 1854, was married in 1874 to Mr. Adams, who survives with two daughters, Mrs. John Mahan, of town, and Mrs. May Mahan, of West Middlesex, and a son, G. L. Adams, of Chicago. She is also survived by five great [sic] grand children. For many years she had held membership with the Zion Lutheran church. The funeral services were conducted on Saturday by Rev. Hanks, pastor of the Grove Chapel Lutheran church."
