Kenneth C. Wadsworth Jr., 78, passed away on December 1, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. He was born June 2, 1931 to Kenneth and Dora Wadsworth in Zook Spur, Iowa.
He enjoyed gardening, was a member of the Highland Park Christian Church in Des Moines, retired teamsters and from Drake University. Kenneth served in the United States Air force until his honorable discharge in September of 1952.
Kenneth is survived by his wife; Patricia Wadsworth of Des Moines, son; Dennis Wadsworth of Des Moines; sister, Phyllis and Elmer Pfannenstiel; sister-in-law, Marilyn Maitre; grandchildren, Sarah and Greg; four great-grandsons; and many other friends and loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Linda.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 am Friday, December 4, 2009, at Glendale Cemetery. Memorial Services will follow at 11:00 am Friday, December 4, 2009, at Highland Park Christian Church, 4260 NW 6th Drive, Des Moines.
