Roy Glenn (Smokey) Hamblin, 86, of Peck, died Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Rose Manor ALF in Zephyhills, Florida. .
He was born June 14, 1926 son of the late Glenn and Ada (Williams) Hamblin.
He was a 1944 graduate of Peck High School and served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
Roy married Joyce Reynolds on January 18, 1947 in Peck, MI.
He was a retired Rural Mail Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, Peck, Michigan.
Roy was a member of the Peck United Methodist Church, a volunteer for the Peck Fire Department, he owned a Car Wash in Peck and also did carpenter work in the community.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Joyce, Reginald Jay Hamblin (son) and Special friend Joan Gibson of Florida,
Judy Hamblin (daughter in law) of Sandusky,
Grandsons, Jarrad Hamblin and Trevor Hamblin,
Great Grandson, Raiden Jay Hamblin,
Gaylord & Audrey Hamblin (brother) of Yale,
Eleanor Washnock (sister) of Port Huron,
Irene Reynolds (sister) of Peck,
Vera & Don Weyeneth (sister) of Sandusky,
Velva (Dale) Markgraf (sister) of Applegate.
Many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Rick Lee Hamblin, grandson, Dax Lee Hamblin, brothers, Howard, Melvin, Lee, Wesley, Guy and sisters, Jeanette Miller and Genevieve Maynard.

Visitation will be held at Marsh Funeral Chapel, Sandusky on Saturday from 1 - 9 PM and on Sunday from 12:30 - 1:30 PM

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 9, 2013 at 1:30 P.M. at Marsh Funeral Chapel, Sandusky.
Burial will be in the Elk Township Cemetery in Peck.
Memorial suggestion to any organization of the donors choice.
