Born October 24, 1940 in Dell, AR to James and Cathleen Rhodes.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn Rhodes of the home, 1 son, Gerald Porter Rhodes Jr of Selmer, TN, 1 daughter, Tammy Lynn Mervine of Melton, FL. 2 brothers, Michael Rhodes of Alma, AR., Joseph Rhodes of Laningsburg, MI., 3 stepchildren, Gerald Biggs of Alpine, AZ, Mark Biggs of Stewartville, IN, and Jim Biggs of Evansville, IN., 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
He was in the Navy a member of the IEBW and a Vietnam Vetern.
Military Honors will be conducted by Promberger Traw Post #4556.
