Born in New Berlinville, PA he was the son of the late Charles and Bertha (Renninger) Gruber.
Jiggs worked for the former Boyertown Casket Factory in the metal department for 30 years.
He was Boyertown High School graduate, a WWII U.S. Army Veteran, a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Boyertown and a life member of the Friendship Hook & Ladder Fire Company, Boyertown.
Jiggs is survived by his wife Dorothy of 57 years (Married February 23, 1946) is a brother Ronald Gruber of Colorado and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers Elwood and David Gruber.
