SHERIDAN — Velma Warner, 86, died Monday.

She was born in Jasper, Mo., and married Harold in 1931. She assisted him in building houses and lived in the Sheridan area for 21 years. He died in 1979.

Survivors include many nieces and nephews; and grandnephew, Mike Melvin of West Linn.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Adamson's Sheridan Funeral Home. Private interment will be at Green Crest Memorial Park.

Contributions: Arthritis Foundation, care of the mortuary.

A funeral for Velma B. Warner of Sheridan will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Adamson's Sheridan Funeral Home.

Private interment will be in Green Crest Memorial Park, Sheridan.

Mrs. Warner died June 12, 2000, in McMinnville. She was 86.

She was born Aug. 22, 1913, in Jasper, Mo., the daughter of Robert E. and Lydia S. Garrett Loving. She was raised and educated in mining towns along the Kansas-Missouri border.

She and Harold F. Warner were married in August 1931.

Mrs. Warner's husband was a logger. He also built several houses, which she helped him construct. She lived in the Sheridan area for 21 years.

Survivors include a grand nephew, Mike Melvin of West Linn, and many other nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1979.
