Pfc. Mariano M. Raymundo, 21, of Houston, Texas, died June 1, in Sharan, Afghanistan. The incident is under investigation. He was assigned to the 210th Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, N.Y. Mariano was born at the Navy hospital in Guam and moved to Houston with his parents when he was three. He is survived by: his mother: Ellen Santos Raymundo; sisters: Rachel L. , Samantha E. Raymundo, Jacqueline R. Santos; and niece: Oliva R. Perez. He is also survived by his grandparents on the island of Guam, Florencio M. and Elpidia C. Santos. He is also survived by his father: Jose M. Raymundo, sister: Alondrah J. Raymundo and other step siblings. Also survived by his grandmother: Mercedes Ramirez.
