Eva Marie Crawford of Manton, Michigan, passed away May 30, 2013, at Country Oaks AFC in Cadillac, Michigan, with her family by her side. She was 90 years old. She was born August 20, 1922, in Manton, to LeRoy and Ellen (Bishop) Crouse. Eva married Gaylord Crawford on March 5, 1946, in Cadillac. They spent their married life in Manton. He preceded her in death on September 28, 2007.
Eva worked at Manton Industries in a supervisory position and retired after more than 20 years of service. Eva enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling. She also enjoyed doing many different crafts. After her retirement, she and her husband spent many winters in Florida.
Eva is survived by sons, Donald (Donna) Crawford of Fife Lake, Larry (Marquita) Crawford of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Robert (Merri) Crawford of Manton; and a sister, Ila Bredahl of Manton; 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Margorie Dontje of Cadillac and Lois Caldwell of Stanton; and a brother-in-law, Donald Barnes of Roscommon
She was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Ellen Crouse; and her brother, Bud Crouse.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial will take place at a later date with burial at Liberty Township Cemetery. The family has requested that any memorials be made to the Manton Senior Center. Final arrangements have been entrusted to Hall-Holdship Funeral Home in Manton.
