THAXTON – Jonathan Brooks Coleman, 30, died Saturday, June 1, 2013, in Thaxton. He was born Dec. 14, 1982, in Tupelo to Johnny and Martha Coleman. He graduated from North Pontotoc High School in May of 2001. He attended Itawamba Community College. He was of the Baptist faith, attending Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and Laodicea Primitive Baptist. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of Clearcreek Wildlife Management Association. Most of all, he enjoyed his family, especially his son, Jarrod. He worked at Eaton Industries.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Sims and Bro. Wayne Ward officiating. Burial will be in Thaxton Cemetery. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his parents, Johnny and Martha Coleman; son, Jarrod Coleman of the home; grandmother, Jo Stegall; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jewel and Nylee Hunter Coleman and Fred Stegall of Pontotoc.

Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Coleman, Eric Coleman, Jarrett Bishop, Chase Bramlett, Daniel White, and Justin Warren.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lane Jaggers, Michael Hunter, and Tyler Stewart.

Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m today at funeral home.
