Mr. Jamie L.Higgins 40 of Jefferson City, passed away Friday May 31, 2013 at his home after a lengthy illness.

Jamie was born January 7, 1973 in Jefferson City, the son o Rick L. and Terina Dietzel Higgins.

A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area. Jamie graduated from Jefferson City High School.

He had been employed with Madison's Bones Resturant, Walmart and Old Navy. He had been the co-owner of the Smoke Shack.

Jamie loved horses, reading, computer games and most importantly spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his mother and step father Terina and Ron Holcombe of Jefferson Ciy, his father and step mother, Rick and Lori Higgins of Jefferson City, two sisters, Amanda Moore of Nevada Mo. and Bailey Higgins of Jefferson City. two brothers, Chris Higgins and wife Lind of Mountain View Mo. and William Higgins of Rolla Mo.

A private celebration of life will be conducted at a later date.
