Elizabeth E. (Libby) Skiles, 79, of Brownsville, Pa., passed away Thursday, April 14, 2005.

She was born Oct. 13, 1925, in Luzerne Township, Pa., daughter of the late Albert and Edna Bowers Watson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Skiles Jr., a brother and two sisters.

Elizabeth was a member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church, and a former bus driver for Brownsville Bus Lines.

She is survived by her children, Leonard Skiles and his wife, Laurie of Muskegon, Mich., Edward Skiles and his wife, Jacklynn of Glen Burnie, Md., and Carol Alman and her husband, Ross of Bedford, Pa.; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three brothers; one sister; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem, on Saturday, April 16, 2005, from 7 to 9 p.m., and Sunday, April 17, 2005, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 18, 2005, at 10 a.m., in the funeral home, with the Rev. Gail Mason officiating.

Interment will follow in Acklin Cemetery, Brownsville, Pa.
