Rites held for Blanche Anderson
Blanche Anderson, 79, Sherwood, died Tuesday, April 26th in a Minot hospital. Her funeral was held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Our Savior Lutheran Church, Sherwood. Burial was in Wigdahl Cemetery, Sherwood. Pastor Rev. Thomas L. Stenzel officiated, organist was Mrs. Connie Engh and special music was provided by a quartet consisting of Carol Clark, Nyla Brye, Evelyn Dew and Evelyn Beckedahl. Casketbearers included Carl and Harry Johnson, Arnold Knutson, Darwin Beckedahl, Kenneth Bluel, and Jeff Milliron.
She was born December 5, 1908 in Prosperity Township, Renville County, rural Sherwood, a daughter of Nels and Ragnhild Tvetan. She was raised there. She married John R. Anderson November 25, 1931, in Mohall. They lived in Prosperity Township and later moved to Grover Township, returning to Prosperity Township in 1944. In 1953 they moved to Sherwood where they managed a cafe in Sherwood. They purchased the business in 1959, and operated it until 1962, when they retired. Mr. Anderson died May 15, 1985.
Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Oran (Audrey) Keith, Sherwood, Nina Engh, Kenmare; son, Paul C., Sherwood; eight grandchildren; nine great- grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Martin Caroline) Schiffman, Sherwoo Mrs. J. S. (Rebecca) Pennepacker, Sioux City, Iowa, and Mrs. Ned (Phyllis) Willman, Missoula, Montana,
