James F. "Jim" Buckman, 75 of Princeton, passed away Friday, May 31, 2013 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville.

He was born August 24, 1937 in Lebanon, KY and had lived in the Princeton area since 1977, coming from the Louisville, KY area.

Jim was retired from Public Service Indiana and had served in the National Guard and Reserve. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Princeton.

He is survived by a daughter, Barbara (Kerry) Wilhite of Francisco; a son, Anthony "Tony" Buckman of Hebron, IN; a grandson, Anthony "Joe" Buckman; 2 granddaughters, Kira B. (Justin) Morgan and Keely D. Wilhite and her fiancé (Lincoln Edwards); a great grandson, Raylan Dale Morgan; 5 brothers, John Buckman of Jeffersonville, IN, Mike Buckman of South Dakota, James Patrick Buckman of Nevada, Frank Buckman of Clarksville, IN and Steve Buckman of Illinois; 4 sisters, Joetta Johnson of Lawrenceburg, KY, Agnes Ann Sloan, Susan Prater and Mary Margaret Aeilts all of California; a brother-in-law, "Hoot" Gibson of Tennessee; 3 sisters-in-law, Virlee Schuch of Jasper, IN, Ruth Vines of Hebron, IN and Linda Schuch of Austin, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Clara (Bickett) Buckman; an infant sister; 3 brothers, Charles, Tom and Joe Buckman; a sister, Mary Edna Buckman; and his wife, Mildred A. (Schuch) Buckman in 2008.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Father Ronald Zgunda officiating.

Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery near Francisco. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service hour on Wednesday at Colvin Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 301 East Main Street-Suite 100, Louisville, KY 40202-1077 or at www.lls.org. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
