Gary Dee Stafford was born Nov. 27, 1956 at Springfield, Mo the son of John Dee and Jessie Louise Stafford. He died Feb.17,2013 at the age of 56, 2 months, and 21 days. He was a painter and was a Member of the Masonic Lodge #361 AF&AM, the Dallas County Shrine Club, and the Dallas County Community Church. He was a graduate of the Class of 1975. Gary took great pride in his work and made a lot of friends. The joy of his life was his son Eric and granddaughter Kylie. He is survived by his son Eric, of Buffalo; a brother, Ronald of Long Lane, and his sister, Debbie Stafford of Springfield; one granddaughter, Kylie Stafford, and his fiance, Vickie Blecher. He was a loving father, grandfather and brother. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were held Fri. Feb. 22nd at 2:00 p.m. in the Montgomery-Viets Chapel, with Bro. Ervin Friend and Bro. Bill Knapp officiating. Recorded selections of "Go Rest High On That Mountain", "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Amazing Grace" were played. Casketbearers were: Randall Boro, Matt Dame, Chester Hill, Donald Hicks, Lynn Howe, and Michael Stafford. Burial was in Benton Branch Cemetery under directin of the Montgomery-Viets Funeral Home. Visitation with Masonic Rites was Thur. from 6 to 8 p.m.
