Services for Mr. Robert W. Allen, age 76, of Lindale, Texas are scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Monday, June 3, 2013 in the Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robbie Wynn officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden Valley Cemetery with services under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Directors. Mr. Allen died Saturday, June 1, 2013 in a Tyler hospital. He was born in Warren, Ohio on May 9, 1937 to the late Elmer Glenn and Betty Jane (Swope) Allen. Mr. Allen graduated from Tyler High School in 1957 and served in the United States Army National Guard. He retired after 24 years from Dallas Power & Light and from ARCO in 1995.
Mr. Allen is survived by his wife, Melba Allen of Lindale, Texas; 2 brothers, Ron Allen and wife, Ann of Chapel Hill, Texas and James R. Allen and wife, Peggy of Tyler, Texas
