Services for Marvin Wayne Sapaugh, 73, of Longview will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 3, 2013, at the Eastview Baptist Church in Kilgore with Rev. James Henderson officiating. Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at Clyde Cemetery in Clyde, Texas. Mr. Sapaugh passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013.

The family will receive friends at 12 Noon Tuesday, 2013 at Bailey Howard Funeral Home.

Mr. Sapaugh was born March 12, 1940, in Sulphur Springs to Marvin and Gwen Sapaugh. He worked for Williams Financial Group in Longview. He led the Music Ministry at Eastview Baptist Church. Mr. Sapaugh was a graduate of Baylor University in 1964. He was a Kiwanian for 45 years and a member of the Longview Noon Kiwanis Club. Mr. Sapaugh was governor of the Texas-Oklahoma Kiwanis District from 1983-84. He was awarded the Hixson Award given by the Kiwanis International Foundation and awarded the CT Bush Award given by the Texas-Oklahoma Kiwanis Foundation. Mr. Sapaugh was a lifetime Gideon. He was preceded in death by his son, Stephen; and his parents.

Mr. Sapaugh is survived by a daughter, Amy Sapaugh Windham of Abilene; grandchildren, Blaen Taylor Windham and Straley Madison Windham of Abilene; sister, Ramona Thedford and her husband, Bill Thedford of Early, Texas; and their children, Clay Thedford and wife, Dory and their children, Cade and Dani Lee of Fort Worth; Matt Thedford of Phoenix, Arizona; Tracy Allen and husband, Barrett and their children, Darren and Angie Lee of Early; Texas.
