Brian Michael Todd age 57, passed away from this life on Thursday May 30, 2013 at 3 AM, after a six year battle with Leukemia. Brian recently retired from the Perkiomen Valley School District where he worked as a resource officer. Brian was also retired from the Plymouth Township Police Department with 19 years of service. He was employed there as a Patrolman, Juvenile Officer and Detective, and was awarded two Commendations for heroism, among numerous other awards and Commendations. Prior to this Brian worked for Perkins Run Blasting Co., Norristown as a licensed Blaster.
Brian served in the United States Air Force from 1973 to 1977 as a Crew Chief on F-4 type aircraft. He attained the rank of Sergeant prior to his honorable discharge.
Brian was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Montgomery County Lodge 14, American Legion Post 5 in Henlopen, DE, and a social member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Kline-Styer-McCann Post 7155 in Trappe, PA.
Brian is survived his wife of 25 years, Barbara Ann (nee Cannell) Todd and his sons Stephen Michael Todd and Eric Patrick Todd all of Collegeville. Brian was predeceased in life by his parents, Francis Preston Todd of Omak, Washington and Edna Mae (nee Welsh) Todd of Tucson, Arizona and a niece Christina Marie Todd of Pottstown.
Brian's greatest loves were spending time with his family and friends, studying history and researching his genealogical roots.
Relatives and friends are invited to share in Brian's Life Celebration service on Monday June 3, from 6 to 9 PM at Boyd-Horrox of East Norriton 200 West Germantown Pike 1-800-GIVNISH and on Tuesday June 4, from 10 to 11:20 AM at Skippack Church of the Brethren 520 Collegeville Rd. Collegeville, PA 19426. His funeral service will begin at 11:30 AM at the church. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Brian's name can be made to the Cancer Center at Phoenixville Hospital 140 Nutt Rd. Phoenixville, PA 19460
