Mr. Charles Stewart, Age 84, of Hendersonville, TN., died Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Hendersonville Hospital. Mr. Stewart was born April 7, 1926 in the Bowlings Branch community of Smith County, TN., the son of the late Grace Amanda Burge and Johnnie Washington Stewart. A Brother, Williams C. Stewart and a Sister, Eula Mai Stewart Montgomery preceded him in death. He was married on February 8, 1948 to Kathleen Kelley. He was a welder at Ford Glass Plant and retired after 32 years. He was a member of the Beacon Baptist Church. Mr. Stewart is survived by his wife of 62 years, Kathleen Kelley Stewart of Hendersonville, TN. Daughter, Brenda Kay Stewart of Hendersonville, TN. Sister, Doris (Glen) Glover of Chestnut Mound, TN. Brother, Glynn (June Williams) Stewart of Lebanon, TN. Funeral Services for Mr. Stewart will be held at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. Interment will follow in the Gordonsville Cemetery.The Stewart family will receive friends at the Gordonsville Chapel on Monday from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until service time at 1:00 P.M.
