Helen Olivia Austin Bundy, 93, beloved wife of the late Clarence D. Bundy Sr., of Sumter, died on Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 5, at Bullock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Benjamin Adelman, Lawrence D. Bundy, Nathan Castle, Chris Sanders, Shane Sanders and Clark Weatherly Jr.
Ms. Bundy was born on June 3, 1916, in Bowman, a daughter of the late Benjamin Tillman Austin and Alice Patrick Austin. She loved gardening, her children, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She was a member of First Southern Methodist Church.
Surviving are one son, Lawrence D. Bundy and his wife, Allie Lee, of Sumter; three daughters, Gayle McCormick and her husband, Mike, of Orangeburg, Faye Sanders and her husband, William, of Camden, and Sheila Castle and her husband, Carey, of Fountain Inn; one brother, Odell Austin of Greenwood; one sister, Ollie Antley of Chattanooga, Tenn.; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a number of brothers and sisters.
The family has chosen Bullock Funeral Home for the arrangements.
