Funeral of Charles A. Thropp
Funeral services over the remains of Charles A. Thropp, whose death occured on Friday evening, were conducted at the family residence at State Line at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon, rev. A. R. Kieffer of the Church of the Ascension, officiating. The burial took place at Oak Hill cemetery. The deceased had been a resident of State Line for the last 20 years and was engaged in the oil business. He is survived by his widow and one son, Charles Thropp; three sisters, Mrs. George Porter of Bradford, Mrs. M. E. Cone and Miss Amelia Thropp of Oil City; and a brother, Hon. Joseph E Thropp of Easton, Pa. The latter is owner of the Easton Iron Works and a member of Congress from the 20th Pennsylvania district.
