Mabel Woods
---Mabel Woods, of 418 W. Green Street, the widow of Henry P. Woods, died Wednesday evening at the Marshall Manor, after a lengthy illness. Arrangements are pend at the Craig K. Kemp Funeral Home.

---Mabel L. (Bellairs) Woods, 93, of 418 W. Green St., died at Marshall Manor on Wednesday evening after a lengthy illness.
---Mrs. Woods was born March 14, 1894 in Hayward, WI, to Henry M. and Anna (Wagner) Bellairs. The family moved to Tekonsha shortly after she was born and resided there a short time before moving to Marshall. She was married June 27, 1922 in Marshall to Henry P. Woods. The couple moved to Lansing after their marriage and resided there for approximately 10 years before returning to Marshall. Mr. Woods preceded her in death on Nov. 7, 1949. Mrs. Woods worked for a time as a cook at St. Mary's Convent and also at the former Blue Pennant Restaurant here.
---Mrs. Woods was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and was a member of St. Mary Altar Society, and the Legion of Mary. She was also a member of the Claude E. Hale Post #4073 VFW Auxiliary.
---Mrs. Woods is survived by five sons, Kenneth P. Woods, Leonard M. Woods, and Francis L. Woods all of Marshall, Keith A. Woods of Texarkana, TX, and Henry M. Woods of Salem, OR; four daughters, Marie L. Woods, Elizabeth A. Huggett, and Bernadine A. Karns all of Marshall, and Rose Rita Richardson of Homer; 28 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren; also nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, George, Leonard, and Frank Bellairs.
---Friends may call at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home where a rosary will be said Friday evening at 7 p.m. Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church (in St. Mary Center) with the Rev. James Barrett officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Friends who wish may offer a Mass in Mrs. Woods' memory.
