Patricia Huse Gribko passed away peacefully at her home, the one she was raised in, on Main Street in Middlefield on Friday, May 31st after a brief battle with cancer and complications from COPD. She was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey December 19, 1942 to Emma and Kenneth Huse. While attending Middletown High School she was a drum majorette and named Miss Middletown High School. She held various positions at My Weekly Reader and most recently retired as a Housing Authority Technician for the State of Connecticut CHFA. Pat's hobbies were love of life, family and friends. Everyone was welcome in her home and at her table as she always had room for one more person with no holiday plans as well as including her children's friends in all Gribko gatherings. If you weren't family by blood you became family by friendship. She especially loved time at the family pool watching her children and grandchildren enjoy the company of one another, quiet times with Ray on weekends in Vermont, and caring for her dog Benji. She was a member of the Middlefield Federated Church and the Middlefield Cemetery Committee. Pat leaves her husband of 50 years, Raymond, her three children Mark Gribko of Middlefield, Nancy Toth of Middlefield and Daniel Gribko of Durham, their spouses Ellen, Jeffrey and Kelly, grandchildren Josh, Heather, Nicholas, Ashley, Jacob and Anthony Toth, Jessica, Jayson, Kenneth and Kaitlyn Gribko, one great grandchild, Morgan, and counting. A brother Kenneth Huse, Jr. of Middletown and sister Marlene Hogan of Middlefield. She was predeceased by her eldest child, Michael Gribko. Pat will forever be in their hearts and they are so grateful for her love and support.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Pat's life at a service on Monday, June 3 at 11 a.m. at the Middlefield Federated Church with internment in the Middlefield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Middlefield Volunteer Fire Department 406 Jackson Hill Road, Middlefield, CT 06455.
