John Felix Goodnite, widower of Pauline Jones Goodnite, died at the age of 90, at South Panola Community Hospital in Batesville on May 27, 1995. He was a retired farmer and cattleman. Funeral services were held at Moore Funeral Home with burial in Black Jack Cemetery. Mr. Goodnite was a member of the Baptist faith. Surviving included, a daughter, Emogene Brown of Riverside, CA; three sons, Talmadge and George Goodnite, both of Batesville, and Wayne Goodnite of Sardis; two sisters, Kate Wilson and Ruth Baker, and a brother, Bill Goodnite, all of Sardis; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
