Mr. Andrew Guy Posey, 85, of Flroence, passed away Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, at Mitchell-Hollingsworth Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was a native of Jasper, Ala., former owner of Posey's Union 76 service station and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Visitiation will be 1-2 p.m. today, Jan. 28, at Greenview Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Park, with Chaplain (Major) Pamela L. Parker, U.S. Army, officiating. Military funeral honors will be accorded graveside.
Mr. Posey was preceded in death by his father, Dolphus A. Posey; mother, Flossie Posey; three brothers, Odis, Clarence E. and Carlos Posey; two sisters, Annie Lee Blackwell and Gladys Laird; and a friend, Lila Allen.
He is survived by a special niece, Darla Austin, of Florence; brother, Roy Posey, of Arley, Ala.; and a sister, Elaine Daniel, of Jasper, Ala.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
