Lillian Dorothy Watkins, 96, of Blooming Grove, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013, in Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Services will be 2 p.m., Monday, June 3, 2013, at First Methodist Church in Blooming Grove with Rev. Nancy Summers officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Lillian was born in Blooming Grove, Texas, to the late William Alex and Vera Bryant. She enjoyed quilting and she and her husband loved get togethers with friends, playing music and singing. Lillian was active with the Methodist church in Blooming Grove. She also was a member of the Historical Society in Blooming Grove that she held very dear to her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert (Pap) Watkins; and son, Gary Winston Watkins.

Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Ellis and husband, Bob, of Arlington; grandchildren, Randy Ellis, of Arlington, Tammy Crowley and husband, David, of Grand Prairie; grandchildren, Zach Case, Jacob Crowley, and Carson Crowley; brother Kenneth Bryant of Waxahachie; numerous nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends.
