Edna was born December 31, 1920 in St George, Utah to John L. and Sarah Church Heywood. She was the youngest of 10 children. Edna loved Dixie and spent the majority of her life there.
She married Ludwig Milano in 1942. They were divorced. She married Lamar Knight in 1947. Their marriage was later sealed in the St. George temple.
Edna was known for her quick wit and one-liners. People loved to be around her because she made them laugh. She worked for years in labor and delivery and the nursery. Edna loved those mothers and babies and they loved her. Many times throughout her life people would stop her and thank her for the care she gave when they had their babies. She was a truly natural nurse.
Edna enjoyed game shows that kept her mind active. She loved dancing and just having plain old fun.
In her later years she was served by wonderful people. Her family wishes to give a special thanks to Pat and Gary Stratton and Thelda and Everett Larsen.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband Lamar, daughter Lois, grandsons Travis and Eric and all of her siblings.
Survived by her children, Rita Pressett(Gene)of Farmington, Utah, Darrell of Lehi, Utah, Kenneth(Brenda)of Orem, Utah and Kathy(Brent) Passey of Centerville, Utah.
Her funeral will be held at Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S. Bluff St., St. George, UT on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. There will be a viewing from 6p.m. to 7p.m. on Tuesday, June 4 at the mortuary and on Wednesday June 5 from 9:30 to 10:30a.m. prior to the funeral service. Interment will be at the St. George cemetery
