Jonathan Clark Eagle, born May 1st, 1864, died at his home at Doe Hill, Va. October 30, 1941. At the age of 77 years. 5 months and 29 days. He had been in ill health for the past four years and was confined to his room for the past year only. He was twice married, his first wife, preceded him to the grave some forty years ago. Surviving him is his second wife and five children, Henry Eagle, McDowell, Va., Milton Eagle, Churchvllle, Va., Mrs. Lura Price, West Augusta, Ed and Ray Eagle at home. He is also survived by eight grand children and three great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. The funeral was held Saturday November 1st, from the Doe Hill church of which he was a member, by the Rev. L.M. Moffett, assisted by the Rev. E.L. Hylton. His body was laid to rest in the Doe Hill cemetery.
