Obituary of Blanche Dailey
St. Joe News, December 22, 1922

Blanche (Ervin) Dailey, daughter of James and Ella Ervin, was born June 18, 1891 and died December 11, 1922. She was 31 years, 5 months and 23 days old at the date of her death.
When she was six years old, her mother died. The father became the part of mother to her and her younger sister (Ada) and raised them to womanhood.
She was united in marriage to Samuel G. Dailey, January 8, 1913. She and her husband went to the home of her childhood to make their home and they remained there until her death.
On September 11, 1916, a little babe came to the home. She went deep into the black shadows of death when Keith came, but after a long struggle, she came back to enjoy her home and child. But not for long. She took ill a little over two weeks ago and despite all that loving hands and medical skill could do, she was claimed by death at 2:50 Monday morning.
She leaves a family very sad because of her death. The immediate relatives are her husband and son, father and sister, and the parents of the husband.
As the morning light was breaking, her spirit went back to the God who gave it, for it was His will.
On January 5, 1903 she joined the Concord M. P. church. She has been a member of the St. Joe Valley Rebekah Lodge for several years.
Funeral services were held from the Concord church on Wednesday at 11:00 o’clock and the body was laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery. Rev. C. H. Havens conducted the services with E. R. Kinsey funeral director.
