Rex Owen Olson, 81, of Pleasant Grove passed away May 16, 1997 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center.
He was born April 13, 1916 in Fairview, Utah to Heber Seth and Pauline Dreyer Olson. He married Fern Slaugh January 22, 1936 in Vernal, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. He grew up in Fairview and attended Uintah High School in Vernal graduating in May, 1934. He attended Utah State Agricultural College in Logan after high school. He worked many years as a welder and concrete inspector in California. He retired and moved to Pleasant Grove 18 months ago.
He is survived by his wife of Pleasant Grove; and three daughters: D'Ann (Thomas J.) Jones; Jerri (Erlend) Warnick; Connie Hall; 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and a brother Lloyd Olson.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 20, 1997 at 11 a.m. in the Timpanogos First Ward Chapel, 195 No. 400 East, Pleasant Grove where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
