Eva Marie (Gawthrop) Currey, 92, of North East, MD, formerly of Grafton, passed away on May 24th at Calvert Manor Healthcare Center, Rising Sun, MD.

She was the daughter of Garland and Susie Hustead Gawthrop.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Ware, and son-in-law, James of North East, MD with whom she has made her home for the past forty years. And also by one grandson, Shawn Ware, wife Stacey and great-grandchildren, Emmerson, Kennason, and Harrison, all of Cochranville, PA. Also surviving is a brother, Robert Gawthrop and wife, Camilla, of Grafton, sisters, Joan Hardesty of Newark, OH and Patty Boyles of Clarksburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Arthur Junior Currey, and a sister, Alice McVicker.

Friends may call at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Friday, May 31st from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held in Eva's honor on Saturday, June 1, 2013 with viewing from

10:00-11:00 a.m. Rev. Orville Wright will officiate with burial in the Harmony Grove Cemetery adjacent to the Harmony Grove Baptist church where she was a member for over seventy years.

Flowers will be enjoyed or memorial contributions may be made in Eva's memory to the Harmony Grove Baptist Church or to the Resident Counsel Nursing Scholarship Fund of Calvert Manor Healthcare Center through the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home.
