Franklin Andrew Daniel was born Aug. 16, 1902, in Murphysboro to William Daniel and Katherine Mary Katzmark Daniel. His siblings include Pauline Collier and Alfred Daniel of Murphysboro, Mary Ellen Vasquez of Shelbyville, Texas, and Oliver Daniel of San Francisco, California. Two brothers preceded him in death.
Mr. Daniel was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran who had served during World War II. He was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church and was a retired employee of Hines Veteran Administration Hospital, Chicago.
Mr. Daniel died at the age of 84 in the Jackson County Nursing Home.
