WANDA LEE PUFFER was born December 11, 1944, in Bancroft, Nebraska, to Harold and Lavera (Grafe) Anderson. She passed away Saturday, May 25, 2013, at the age of 68 years, at her daughter's home in Oakland, Nebraska, surrounded by her family.
Wanda was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bancroft. She attended school in the Lyons and Bancroft areas.
On May 27, 1967, Wanda married Russell Puffer. To this union three children were born: Kent, Amy and Wesley. They lived in Gothenburg, Nebraska, until moving to Craig, Nebraska, in 1977.
Wanda worked several jobs throughout her life. Some of her favorites included working as dispatcher at the Burt County Sheriff's Office in Tekamah and cooking at the Gathering Cafe in Craig.
In November 2007, Wanda was diagnosed with cancer, leaving her too ill to continue working.
Wanda enjoyed quilting, crocheting and coffee with the ladies. Most of all she loved every minute she spent with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; twin brother, Layton; sister, Jane; brother, Jim; aunt, Laverne and niece, Michelle.
Survivors include her sons, Kent Puffer and girlfriend, Brooke Luther, of Oakland, Wes Puffer of Craig; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Jarvis Guill of Oakland; three grandchildren, Connor and Corbin Guill and Haylee Puffer; brothers and sisters-in-law, Betty Anderson of Blair, NE, Bud and Mary Anderson of Richland, MO, Joyce Anderson of Norfolk, NE, Harry Anderson of Craig, NE, Gerry and Lucille Anderson of Louisville, KY; sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and Clark Smith of Omaha, NE, Bob Anderson of Pennsylvania, Janice and Don Paulson of Oxford, NE, Connie and Chuck Delp of Rock Springs, WY, Lesa and Robert Parker of Fremont, NE, many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

VISITATION: Wednesday, May 29, 3-8 pm with family receiving friends from 6-8 pm at Pelan Funeral Home in Oakland. Visitation will also be held Thursday at the Craig Auditorium one hour prior to service.
