Musician. He was a drummer for Dizzy Gillespie's band. He also boxed professionally in New York City from 1943 to 1949 before turning over to music. Stan moved to Los Angeles in 1954 and worked with the Lighthouse All-Stars. He was a drummer for movie and television soundtracks including five Disney documentaries. He retired from music in 1973 and became a photographer. A documentary, "Stan Levey: The Original Original" was released in 2005.
