HAROLD KENYON OF RED OAK IS TAKEN BY DEATH
YOUNG MAN WELL KNOWN, PASSES AWAY FOLLOWING BRIEF ILLNESS
Friends in the vicinity of Red Oak and this community will be shocked to learn of the death of Harold Kenyon, who passed away at a local hospital on Monday, October 19, at 6:15 p.m......The deceased was an estimable young man, respected and popular in his community and had been ill but a short time, death being due to septicemia, following influenza......Born in Freeport, January 16, 1898, he was 27 years old at the time of his death and had resided in this city and Red Oak his entire lifetime. For some years past he had been in charge of the grain business at the Red Oak elevator......He was a valued member of the Red Oak M. E. church and Sunday school and his presence will be missed in church circles. He leaves to mourn his passing his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kenyon, a sister Mildred and many other relatives. Funeral services will be held from the Red Oak M. E. church at 1:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Reve. P. M. Collins officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
