Barbara J. Vondrasek, age 89 of Bath, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Sparrow Clinton Hospital in St. Johns
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 02:00 PM at Watkins Brothers Funeral Home, Laingsburg Chapel, with Pastor John Walworth officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Cemetery in Bath. Family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Barbara was born on March 16, 1925 in Misik, MI, the daughter of Charles and Ede (Watson) Sniff. She graduated from Mesick High School, class of 1943. On November 30, 1944 she married William J. Vondrasek in Buckly, MI and he predeceased her in 2010. She worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, was a secretary for State Farm Insurance Company and was a homemaker. Barbara loved to do crafts, knitting, croschetteing, cooking and gardening.
She is survived by her sons; W. John Jr. of Kingsport, TN, Vaughn of Laingsburg and Kent of Lansing, grandchildren; Nicol and Chad, great-grandchildren; Ryan and Rachel and sister Pauline Bowman. She was predeceased by brothers and sisters; Archie, R.J., Paul, Fayvella and Leslie.
