Clara E. "Claire" DelSordo Hunter, Clara E. "Claire" DelSordo Hunter, longtime resident of Glenolden, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Penn Hospice at Rittenhouse in Philadelphia.
Born in Darby, she was a graduate of Notre Dame High School, Class of 1948. She was employed for many years as a secretary. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church. Mrs. Hunter was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed traveling, especially cruising, and the Phillies, but her main joy was her 6 grandchildren.
She was the wife of the late John Hunter, Jr., mother of the late Deborah Ann Hunter, daughter of the late Amato and Teresa (Pasquale) DelSordo, and sister of the late Charles DelSordo and Mary Laur. Survivors: Her daughter Theresa (Harry) Anderson, her sons John (Christina) Hunter, III, and Michael (Helene) Hunter, and her grandchildren Christopher, Gabriele, Ariana, Austin, Zachary, and Alyssa.
Service/Viewing: Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass 11 am, Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Our Lady of Fatima Church, where there will be a viewing 10-11 a.m. Burial: Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon.
