Dorothy K. (Howes) Ludden, 84, of West Springfield died Sunday in a Northampton nursing home.
She was a housekeeper in the Ashfield area for many years. Born there, she was a graduate of the town's Sanderson Academy.
She lived in California before returning to Massachusetts. She was predeceased by her husband, William Ludden.
She leaves three sisters, Marion Root of West Hatfield, Bernice Howes of Buckland, and Marquerite Jackman of St. Marys, Ga.; seven nephews, and a niece.
The funeral is scheduled Thursday at Smith-Kelleher Funeral Home, with the burial to be arranged in Plain Cemetery at Ashfield. There are no calling hours, and memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1111 Elm St., Suite 9a, West Springfield, 01089, or the American Diabetes Association, 813 Williams St., PO Box 61210, Longmeadow, 01116-1210.
