Viola R. Anderson "Our Fair Lady" Resident of Antioch, Viola Anderson, 93, of Antioch, CA went to be with her Lord and Savior of Sunday, April 11, 2010 surrounded by her family in Walnut Creek, CA. Viola Ruth Anderson, is affectionately known to her children and grandchildren as Mother, Mom. Mama Anderson, Masson, Nanny and more recent years, "Our Fair Lady". What a Fair Lady she was! She was the best-"every thing good" as her sister Geraldine put it. Mrs. Anderson was born January 9, 1917 in Foreman, AR and married in 1932. In marriage she found her passion and became the ultimate wife and mother, her life revolved around her husband and seven children. She loved nothing more than to serve her husband Carl during their 58 year marriage before his passing in 1991. Her gifts of cooking, baking and sewing provided well for her family during the lean post-depression years. Yet exercising throughout her life, and wrapped in wisdom and live, her domestic gifts, frugality and hard work ethic-in and out of the home-served well to lay a strong foundation and bond for her children and their families. After retirement from 30 years in sales, gardening became another passion. Spring was the time to vividly show the fruits of her labor throughout her yard. Her flowers caused neighbors to slow and savor the beauty as they enjoyed the colorful masterpiece of Mom's (Vi's) flowers. She is dearly loved and will be missed by her children Don Anderson, Anna Lou Proctor, Patsy Maxfield, Doyle Anderson, Carla Heisel and Sonnie Anderson Tandberg; 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren as well as brother, Aubrey Davis and sisters, Hazel Bell and Geraldine Paroll. Mrs. Anderson leaves a strong legacy behind. She is predeceased by her husband Rev. Carl C. Anderson, son Davis Anderson in 2007, granddaughters, Carlene Jackson Torres in 1988 and Courtny Page Tandberg in 1996.
