Ramona C. "Mona" Peterson, age (keep guessing), of Milan, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at her home.

Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan. Burial is at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Mona was born on February 19, in Rock Island, a daughter of Aubrey and Lavon Sharp Anthony. She married Wayne "Pete" Peterson in October 1976. He died in July 1994.

She worked and played at the Bringer Inn in Milan for 10 years. Mona then grew up and got serious and went to work at various John Deere cafeterias for 20 years. She met Larry Minteer and decided to start playing again. They played euchre and danced and danced.

Mona especially wants to thank Larry for her last dance.

Her children and family were her heart, they included her son, Bruce (Jan) Wold, Davenport; daughter, Sherry (Mike) Conklin, Davenport; her baby, Coral Sprouse, Milan; her handsome grandsons, Ben, Jason and Josh Wold, Keith and Lee Eastman, and Ryan Ortery; her beautiful granddaughters, Molly Ortery and Rebekka Sprouse; 11 great-grandchildren; step-grandsons, Brian and Kevin Conklin; and her brothers and sisters who she will be watching over and until they join her, Bud and George Anthony and Bev Dennison and Rose Carlile. She now joins her parents and five brothers and sisters in heaven.
