He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother and three sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Gene Moore; one son Lynn Moore and his wife Kay Moore; one granddaughter Rachel Barber and her husband Travis Barber; one great grandson Jacob Barber; one great granddaughter Megan Barber; and one grandson Drew Moore.
James served in World War II in the First Marine Division where he was wounded and received a Purple Heart.
Interment at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Arkansas.
