Funeral service for Marvin Leonard Inman was June 5, 2005 at Wilson Mortuary with Bro. Joe Hubbs and Bro. Billy Miller officiating.
Music was provided by Lisa Miller as soloist and Beverly Wilson as pianist.
Interment was in the Dry Fork Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Fred Hagler, Gary Lay, Harold White, Charley Boze, Bill Dobbs and Rick Inman. Honorary pallbearers were Bud Bowen, Dale Howard, Jerome Bay, Gene McCarter and Junior Howard.
Mr. Inman was born June 26, 1935 in Dent County to Donald (Bus) and Mary Elizabeth (Lizzie) Inman. He married Erma McDonald on Oct. 1, 1955. They were the parents of one daughter. Mr. Inman died June 2, 2005 at the age of 69 years.
Survivors include his wife, Erma, Salem; one daughter, Shelley Schafer and husband, Larry, Salem; his mother, Mary Elizabeth (Lizzie) Inman, Salem; two brothers, Perry Inman and wife, Verna Lou; Junior Inman and wife, Judy, all of Salem; four sisters, Shirley Morton and husband, Bob, Salem; Virginia Wisdom and husband, Vardell, Boss; Sharon Bergner and husband, David; Judy Parker, all of Salem; one sister-in-law, Rhonda Inman, Salem; one grandson, Dustin Schafer and wife, Christina, Salem; one great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Marie, Salem; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Preceding him in death were his father; an infant brother, Billy Joe; and one brother, Larry Inman.
Mr. Inman was a member of the Dry Fork Baptist Church and the Salem Saddle Club. He was employed for several years by International Shoe Co. Later he owned and operated Inman Boot and Shoe repair business in Salem for 19 years.
