Roger was a lifelong automobile mechanic. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing. He liked to travel and enjoyed shopping, especially at flea markets. Roger was a kind, gentle soul who loved helping people. Spending time with his family and friends brought him much joy.
Roger is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Linda Gail (Hawkins) Kennedy; two sisters, Linda Ann Stinson and Betty Lou Kennedy; and one brother, Raymond Kennedy.
Survivors include his wife of almost two years, Marsha (Rains) Kennedy of the home; step-son, Lee Cowen Jr. and wife Angie of McRae and sons, Scotty Kennedy and Roger Lee Kennedy Jr. and wife Linda, all of Jacksonville; daughter, Crystal Lee Kennedy of Glasgow, Kentucky; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; one brother, Eugene Kennedy and wife Betty of Branson, Missouri; and several nieces, nephews, in-laws and other family who will also mourn his passing.
Arrangements are by Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, June 02, 2013 at Nubbin Hill Church in Leslie, Arkansas with Bro. Byron Kennedy and Harley Treat officiating. The family will receive guests from 1:00 till 2:00 preceding the service. Burial will follow in Nubbin Hill Cemetery.
Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
