Funeral for Steven Lee "Steve" Franklin, 61, of Danville was held Friday, May 31, 2013, at noon at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Todd Toles officiating. Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery. .

Mr. Franklin, who died Wednesday, May 29, 2013, was born March 16, 1952, in Morgan County to Buddy Benjamin Franklin and Barbara Louella Franklin. He was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide, New York Yankees, Atlanta Braves and Green Bay Packers fan. He attended Decatur High School where he was a member of the class of 1970. He was a member of the Sixth Avenue Church of God.

Survivors include his parents, Buddy Benjamin Franklin and Barbara Louella Hardin Franklin of Danville; one brother, David Franklin (Tina) of Huntsville; two nieces, Erica Faye Franklin and Barbara Nicole Franklin; a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Mental Health Association of Morgan County, DCI of Decatur, or the National Kidney Foundation .
