Tracy Tate, age 47 of Crestview passed away unexpectedly Monday night, May 13, 2013. Tracy was born in Crestview, FL on October 1, 1965. Tracy grew up in Crestview and graduated from Crestview High School in 1984. Tracy was in the United States Marine Corp, was a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, and loved to be on the water. He loved to fish and ski, but most of all he loved spending time with beautiful little girl, Jade. Tracy was preceded in death by his grandfather Olive Outlaw, Aunt Barbara Outlaw, and his daddy Bob Tate.

Survivors include his daughter Jade Tate of Fort Walton, his mother Nada Tate of Crestview, sister and brother-in-law Peppi and Roger Grimes of Daphne, AL, Grandmother Rachel Outlaw of Geneva, AL, Soul Mate and the mother of his daughter Luisa Garcia of Fort Walton. Also surviving are numerous, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and extended family and friends.

The celebration of Tracy's life will be on Friday, May 17, 2013, at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home with Reverend Alan Kilgore officiating. Burial will follow in Beal Memorial Cemetery in Ft. Walton Beach. A time of visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 am on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Saint Mary's Catholic School for Jade's continued education.
