Beloved Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather & Brother Age 93 of North St. Paul, died on May 25, 2018 in Maplewood, MN. Preceded in death by parents, George & Edna; wife, Vivian; son, Arne; grandsons, Andrew Bauer, Daniel Abbott, & James Myers; brothers, George, Walter (Wes). Survived by sister, Glenyce Sellards (Gene); son, Paul (Lee); daughters, Nancy Abbott, Sally Myers (Jim), & Susan Madland; 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; brother in law, sisters in law, many nieces and nephews. Arnie was born and raised on the Eastside of St. Paul and he graduated from Johnson High School in 1942. He married his adored Vivian (Hagstrom) on March 4, 1944 and they raised their 5 children in White Bear Lake and North St. Paul. He was a World War II U.S. Navy Veteran. He graduated from Hamline University and taught at North St. Paul High School for 35 years, where he also coached hockey and golf. Arnie was also an avid outdoorsman. A private graveside service with military honors was held on May 29, 2018 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. A reception will be held to honor Arnie and share memories on Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Keller Golf Club, St. Paul.
